HISTORY IN A NUTSHELL
2004
• Explosive Debut: The Way of Pain (Sanctuary Group / Noise Records, 2004) launched Dyecrest onto the European metal scene.
• European Tour: 1,5 months on the road, performing 27 shows as support (together with DragonForce) for W.A.S.P. across Europe
• Surviving the Industry's Storm: Despite being dropped by Sanctuary during their financial cutbacks in 2004, Dyecrest remained resilient and determined.
• Second Album: This Is My World (Dockyard 1, 2005)
• Hiatus and Return: After a hiatus starting in 2008, the band roared back in 2018 with Are You Not Entertained? (Inverse Records), signaling their return to the scene.

• In fall 2023, Dyecrest released their fourth album, Once I Had a Heart (Rockshots Records), gaining rave reviews and a reinvigorated fanbase.
• With a new chapter unfolding, August 2023 brought the addition of Heidi Aaltonen as the band’s lead vocalist – an electrifying shift that has injected fresh energy into Dyecrest. The lineup that is perfectly positioned to not just create music, but to dominate live stages with a full-force commitment.
• In 2024, Dyecrest was performing actively, with highlights including a thrilling performance at John Smith Rock Fest. In the fall of 2024, band started to write new songs for the upcoming release.
• The recordings started in early 2025 at the Astia Studios, Lappeenranta, Finland.
• In September 2025, Dyecrest announced that they had signed a record deal with Art Gates Records! The first single "Unravel Me" was released in October 2025. The release of the new - yet untitled - album is planned in early 2026.
